Two historic railway carriages on Piazza Grande to commemorate the Centenary of the Locarno Treaties
Before the Locarno Treaties, other diplomatic steps had been taken. Among them should be mentioned the Peace of Versailles (1919) and, before that, the Armistice of Compiègne, signed on November 11, 1918, in a dining car located in the forest of Compiègne, northeast of Paris.

The cultural association Campi d'Arte proposed that the infopoint for all celebrations should therefore be housed in a vintage wagon, and with the crucial support of Enjoy Swiss, was able to find and restore two small wagons dating from around 1910. Hotel Losone (Losone) and its director, Diego Glaus, are thanked for their concession.
The mail wagon houses the info point of the Centenary celebrations, a small documentary exhibition, and informative panels. In contrast, in the other wagon, there is a continuous screening of the documentary Locarno City of Peace by Jonas Marti (12', 2025).
